"The Lyman-alpha Forest and Cosmology"

Lam Hui
Fermilab

Abstract:

After reviewing the basic physics that determines the properties of the Lyman-alpha forest, I will describe three areas in which the forest can provide interesting cosmological constraints: the reionization history, the mass power spectrum and the cosmological constant or its variants.
