  "Geometrical Characterizations of Non-Gaussianity in the CMB"

Abstract:
The "topological genus" criterion often used for analysis of non-Gaussianity has been recently generalized to a set of geometrical criteria based on Minkowski functionals. After an introductory review of these criteria, we show that they are sensitive to non-Gaussian correlations on the smallest available map scales. We propose a new criterion allowing a more systematic analysis of these non-Gaussianities.
