"Does Our Cosmology Need Fixing?"

P.J.E. Peebles
Princeton University

Abstract:

The relativistic LambdaCDM cosmology passes demanding tests. But despite this impressive success there are problems in reconciling theory and observations on the length scales of galaxies. I will discuss two examples I find particularly interesting, solicit debate of whether I'm just being alarmist, and spend any remaining time on presentation of a possible remedy, a long-range scalar interaction in the dark sector.
