"Lorentz-Violating Vector Fields Slow the Universe Down"

Eugene Lim
Yale University

Abstract:

I will talk about the gravitational effects of a general class of Lorentz symmetry violating vector fields. In particular, I will show how such a vector field in the presence of other matter fields in the universe will regularize the gravitational constant, resulting in a slow down of the expansion rate of the universe.
