"Looking for Inflation in Warped Compactifications of String Theory"

Oliver DeWolfe
Princeton University

Abstract:

Warped compactifications of string theory have the nice property that most (and potentially all) moduli fields are fixed. We review recent attempts to find potentials in these systems that are suitable for slow-roll inflation, using characteristically stringy features such as mobile branes, warped throats and brane/flux annihilation.
