"Models for the Brane-Bulk Interaction: Toward Understanding Braneworld Cosmological Perturbations"

Martin Bucher
DAMTP, University of Cambridge

Abstract:

Certain aspects of braneworld cosmology may adequately be taken into account using an (3+1)-dimensional Langrangian effective field theory. Certain effects, however, are inherently (4+1)-dimensional and will be missed in such an effective description. I will discuss some recent work developing a variety of techniques necessary for a full (4+1)-dimensional description of the evolution of the cosmological perturbations in a braneworld cosmological scenario.
